A bicycle/cafe with harbour views, awesome coffee and amazing sandwiches! I really like the piccolo glasses but the coffee that’s served is just as lovely! The staff are nice and welcoming. Its kinda cool to sip your coffee, eat a delicious sandwich next to a MAMIL (middle aged man in lycra) and watch his $12k pushy being serviced!
Last day in Sydney & decided to wander down from The Shangri la to find a coffee. This cute place fitted the bill as it had a great water view & was a nice place to sit & while away some time before our flight home. There were bicycles everywhere, even hung up in the roof area & a statue out front of a cyclist, even the stools had peddles (cute) Coffee was Vittorio, not one of my favorites, but the sweets, especially the muffins made up for that loved those sugary crunchy tops
I work at the Rocks so been here pretty often and it hasn’t disappointed me till date. Ive has the lasagna which was good. I’ve had the bacon egg roll which was absolutely delicious and mouth watering. Considering the area the prices are very reasonable and the view obviously is very good. If you are a cyclist, they have a small workshop attached where you can get your cycle fixed or looked at. Staff are very friendly as well.
Had a pretty decent burger here!! The bun was nice and the ingredients inside were simple but very fresh. However, when ordering, I asked the cashier if it is served with fries and she asked someone in the kitchen who said yes. A different waiter bought the food to the table and when I asked her where the fries were, she said that this cafe definitely does not serve fries. So that was a bummer..But the burger was actually very enjoyable and was a decent price.
Bought 3 almond crossaints for me and my collegues although staffs were friendly and helpful those croissants were so bad I can’t rate them high…. it tasted old and bit cardboard paper like… really terrible. When im in the area ill try the proper breakfast and coffee next time. goodtasteguide.blogspot.com
First time visit Bar Cycle cafe, ordered my food and coffee, then realised I left my wallet at home. The owner told me to bring some friends along and fix the bill next time! Excellent customer service, staffs are super friendly, food is served with passion and love, I ordered the ‘green eggs’, looks simple but everything cooked at perfection. It’s hard to a cafe like this, such a hidden gem in Sydney! I will definitely be back and fix my bill next time! P.S. If you like cycling and commute like me, they are very bike friendly, you can park your bikes next to your table or close by. Staffs are passionate about bikes too
Around lunch time before Christmas 2015, I had to wait over 40 minutes for my takeaway lunch lasagne. People who ordered after me received their food before I did. They had forgotten my order completely. When I eventually got the food it was ok but I won’t be returning out of principle. I’m not exaggerating about the 40mins either.
