It’s a beautiful location with friendly staff, great coffee and a good selection of fresh breakfast and lunch fare. They also do wonderful home made Greek food.
I am a friend of one of the staff that used to work at Zupano. She was not get paid for the last 2 weeks that she worked for. Since she was paid in cash, there was nothing she could do about it. The reason? She wanted to leave the job and the manager was not happy with that. She gave the manager 2 weeks notice as well….

We stopped in for breakfast during Sydney Writers’ Festival, a time when Walsh Bay is bustling and seats are at a premium. The service was friendly and quick, and we were impressed with the range of food on offer. Mainstream but enjoyable, and our zucchini fritters with avocado and toast were a generous serving. The location is really appealing with outdoor tables overlooking the pier, all in all one of the better casual options in this area. They also sell delicious tella balls!
One of the closest to barangaroo, so convenient, but the service and quality aren’t there… The waitress was friendly, but kept talking over people so every order had to be repeated. Similarly, the guy at the counter offered a welcome, but was on the phone to his buddy and not really listening to customers at all. Ordered a large coffee, plain sandwich and a bottle of water, to take away. At $20, this isn’t cheap, and the food was ok, but not at that price. Coffee was a bit burned, but again it was ok… Except for the size. The cafe has somehow sourced a cup that is as tall as a large cup, but very narrow, so even though you pay for a large coffee (expensive), you only get a regular coffee anyway. Skip this place and try somewhere else.
