Who can argue with the beach and fish n chips!This joint is well run, I watched and studied how well the cooks skilfully battered and fried everything. They must get lots of business here no doubt. Me and the mrs headed for the beach, sat down and made the little spread in the photo. It was good grub. We also ate too much.The fish was tasty and balanced well with the batter. (2.75/5) The calamari rings were great too (2.75/5) the salt pepper squid were a let down (2/5). The tartare sauce was terrible(1/5), I could make better with my eyes closed.Overall though, I’d come back, but with my own sauce!
I am going to go straight to the point here. .. the only lay down about this place is the tired fit-out and the long lines especially during lunch time and weekends. But all that is easily forgotten as soon as you taste one of their (considering the location very reasonably priced) fresh seafood dishes. My personal favorite – Seafood salad – fresh, tasty and very refreshing on a beautiful hot day at Dee Why beach…
A great place to pick up some freshly cooked fish & chips for lunch and enjoy it by the sea. Although beware, lunch time can have you waiting up to 15 minutes for your food as it get’s so busy. whatnossyate.wordpress.com
Perfect location and delicious seafood. The seafood here is very fresh and cooked very well. It is some of the best seafood I have had in Australia and I’ve been eating fish n’ chips non-stop. The best part about eating here though is taking the food away in its tray and walking across the street to eat in front of the beautiful northern beaches on a grassy field.
Enjoy seafood at beach. Just imaging I am at one of the best beach with my close friends and enjoying seafood wow!!!!!!!!!!
