I have been here a number of times now and I have never been disappointed. The food is always at your table fast and tastes delicious! My favourite dishes are the char kway teow and the coconut crepes ( I could eat a dozen plates) the waiters are always friendly and helpful. A must try if you are in the area.

We love a quiet night on the weekend to grab some friends and head to this place in Double Bay. The food is amazing, its BYO and the food is served quickly. Some of our favourites include the Prawn Dumplings and Springys for entree, Sassys Duck and the Water Spinach veggies for main and a side of roti and curry. It is a relatively small areas so best suited to groups of 6 or less. Couples probably dont need to worry about a reservation but larger groups shouldnt take that chance. Staff are friendly and will always make sure that your wine glass is full. Located prominently on New South Head Road come here for a feed and then throw the dancing shoes on and head over to the Sheaf to keep the night going.

I rang and booked in quite late, it was super busy but they fit us in. Malaysian cuisine and a wide menu of dumplings, fried entrees, stir fries, curries and also vegetarian options. In a group we ordered satay sticks – delicious flavour, the pork buns were awesome and prawn dumplings were super fresh. We also shared beef rendang (small but delicious) and roti. Nice meals, very fast service. Laid back, it takes BYO and very cheap for an easy group night out. aroundtheclockfoodie.com

What a great find on a stormy day! The decor is mostly wood and very cosy. The food were great and big servings. We had 3 different dishes and they are all wonderful. Strongly recommend.

This was the MOST uncomfortable dinning experience we ever had!!I was a fan of Chinta Ria when I went there in Darling Harbour long ago. Thus we were thinking of trying this outlet of Chinta. One Friday night, we made a booking and only to be told by the man who showed us to our table that we only have an hour to eat. Since we like to savour our food – plus this is not advertised as a eat and run Mac Donald establishment (hope not for $65 a head) – we requested to stay a bit longer He reluctantly gave us a another table, shoved some menu and returned to his smart phone.Thank goodness to a lovely Thai Waitress who came to the rescue and recommended us certain dishes. Food wise – Chinta Kechil is a mixed bag. However, the place is so stuffy and hot that we were drenched in our sweat half way through our main that we could not taste our food and were forced to leave. The single star I gave them is for the Thai Waitress who was extremely helpful and also apologetic upon seeing our plight. The rest of the staff (the lady cashier and the man in his smart phone) gave us the look as though they were doing us a favour. As much as I like my Malaysian Food, there are other better and cheaper Malaysian Restaurant elsewhere.

The venue may have moved to double bay but the food is still good, been going there for our anniversary for the past 10 years, double bay location is great, some cool bars close by for afterwards

Its a cute place located on a busy road but depending on time you can find a spot or 2 around the block. Customer service is attentive and the menu is very authentic.
