Went to Birkenhead outlet and saw the advertisement of this cafe on the outlet website so decided to give it a tryAnd disappointed The coffee was good and their large coffee is really large unlike other cafesBut the signature 3 tier breakfast was not as delicious as it looked The pancake wasnt floppy. Its kind of watery. The Greek yogurt mentioned in the menu was more of a dipping source size. One tea spoon and you finished the yogurt. The signature breakfast is designed for two people to share but there is only one piece of sourdough: if you see two pieces in the photo, its just one piece cut into two. So stingy. Only one sausage as well. The overall taste was below average. The service was good anyway.

We came here after doing our morning shopping on boxing day and it was surprisingly empty. We ordered the fritters and the potato and bacon something which were not bad… But not something you will return for. Location and service are pretty good.

A lovely little spot. Went for some lunch and service was fast and friendly. The meal was fresh and nice and was quite a good price too, at $20 a head. Would recommend for both the food and the view!

Located within Birkenhead outlet, on the first floor, its a great place to eat followed by a shop. Went for a morning high tea with bubbly. The table was set up really nicely and the view was excellent. We were served bubbly and tea, I also ordered a mocha. The drinks were top notch. The high tea was served on a 3 three tier cake stand with 3 selections of sandwiches, eggplant (delicious), prawn salad (delicious) and chicken avo (not bad). Also savoury however not on the tier stand were some bocconcini tomato skewers (ok, not a lot of favour) and what looks like a vegetarian bruschetta (not bad). There were a LoT of sweets including 3 types of macaroons (pistachio, strawberry and choc orange??) the macaroons were a let down by my standards, the shells was quite hollow and the macaroon overall did not possess a lot of flavour, it was just sweet. The lemon meringue was fantastic and probably the best out of the sweets. Brownie was very rich, Coffee cake wasn’t too bad and the scones were good. Jam appeared to be home made but the cream….the cream was terrible. It looked overwhipped or curdled and did not taste great either, unless this is suppose to be a vegan cream? it wasn’t my cup of tea. I thought the savoury was quite well done but the sweets were a bit of a let down. I would have preferred more savoury and less sweets. There were positives and negatives. However , I think there’s a a bit of refining to do in terms of the selection and the sweets..but I will go back to try their regular brunch and lunch menu. *kindly invited theweekendfoodieeats.blogspot.com
