May 2017.Farewell dinner in a room booked at the back.Service was really average and hap hazard, nobody was interested in seeing if we wanted drinks, we had to ask for drinks lists, go to the bar and it was generally not that comfortable.Dinner was pretty average at best. Cheese Burger was as expected, nothing flash, Chicken Schnitzel was okay – needs more sauce with it, the loaded fries looked like they came with cheese from a can.Wont be back in a hurry at all.
The Oxford was renovated a year ago and showed a lot of promise since doing away with the PJ’s name. The renovation looks great as does the new menu on paper. There’s two problems with this place – the food is still average, and the old bogan PJ’s crowd still fills the courtyard most nights.
For some reason my previous post didn’t post everything! I was suggesting this place has great food. We had patella and sirloin steak… Both very tasty & generous serves! It can be quite don’t let this deter you!! :)05 Apr, 2015The previous reviews put us off as we sat down for our meal. However when our food came out we were very happy.
Poor service. Whilst a friend and myself were enjoying a lovely chat waiting for our guinness to be poured, for no seemingly good reason we were told to leave the bar (mind you other people were standing at the bar) so it was strange. We replied that we would as soon as we got our beer. Instead of apologising the young man reluctantly finished pouring the guinness and smirked. After three beers it came as no suprise we were cut off..it was just odd like the Indian bartender was just off. Anyone can go here if they want. I just had a poor customer experience and am extra harsh because I work in the same industry.
One of the best chicken schnitzel and chips in Sydney!
Disappointed. So disappointed with the food today. My daughter didn’t eat her dry cheese pasta bake and I can hardly blame her.Paid 21 dollars for 5 sea scallops and black pudding and the only side options available are chips and wedges. Ladies toilets broken and need a good clean
