Tonight I had a meal from the bistro. It’s a nice place for a beer or a meal as it has been renovated in the last couple of years and still feels fairly fresh. All the staff were friendly. The food was alright, though my steak was cooked rare at one end but almost well done at the other. The serving size wasn’t too bad, price was ok I guess. Food is what you expect from a bistro, not amazing but good enough for a weeknight meal.
Dubbo RSL. I ordered bouillabaisse main course. For a main course, I expected to be served a large pot of soup brimming with seafood. Certainly the enormous price suggested that. The tiny bowl of soup I was served was not a main course sized dish. It was an entree. Feeling cheated, I paid the very large bill and went home hungry to warm up some food from my fridge.
