Now settled in Dulwich Hill from Kingsgrove, this little eatery is situated close to Dulwich station. There’s a few tables and chairs in there and it’s great for a quick bite. They churn out food really quickly as there’s a lot of staff behind the counter.Highlights for me were:-BBQ octopus, fresh and nicely charred, served with lemon on the side.-halloumi chips, love love love-overflowing pork gyros-injector loukoumades with syringe of your choice (white choc, choc, salted caramel and peanut butter). These were drenched in a syrup. I choce white choc, choc and salted carmel. These hit the spot!-huge beef burger with fresh ingredientsThey also do souvla packs, souvlaki, salads, range of chips and sides.Thanks for having us Nik!
This Greek street food takeaway shop in Dulwich Hill has a veritable feast of delights for the senses offering a wide range of classic treats such as gryos and souvlaki as well as burgers, salads, and sides. Service was friendly and helpful.We came as a group to sample the many items on offer. There were so many dishes we could mention that we loved but our highlights were the Pork Belly Baklava Gyro. Lots of yummy pork belly and crackling flavoured with date & pistachio paste in an easy to go wrap it combined sweet and savoury so well. The Cheeseburger Gyro had a filling of a burger in a wrap! Classic flavours that were so tasty. The Haloumi as both the classic and the chips were also crowd pleasers. Loved the freshly made desserts especially when theyre made to order. The Injector Loukoumades were crispy on the outside and pillowy on the inside and drenched from the syringes of different sauces . The Vanilla Bougatsa has flaky pastry surrounding the warm semolina custard. Couldve eaten the one serving myself as it was fantastic.Thank you to Billy and Nick for hosting us for the day.
Niko’s doesn’t mess around! If you’re looking for a great value, delicious Mediterranean food with fresh, high quality ingredients (none of that mass produced kebab meat) and generous servings this is the place for you. Their gyros is delicious, the meat is juicy and crispy, with great flavour (I’ve tried both the lamb and chicken and would recommend both). They also have a great selection of vegan options. Definitely recommended!
