When to have morning tea, customer services are bad. Food hygiene is concerned. Found something in the plate. Went to pay the bill, charged with incorrect bill. Advice to other customers: Check your bill before you pay!
Not a bad little cafe in Earlwood. Coffee is ok. I got the french toast which was a generous serving but way too eggy. The bacon was a little on the overcooked and oily side. The rhubarb and ricotta was nice. Hubs got a ham, cheese and spinach toasted sandwich and I immediately knew he chose well. The leg ham seems hand carved and no joke was at least 1cm thick one side and looked amazing. Sourdough is buttered on the outside too which always makes toasted sandwiches awesome. I would come back to have one of their toaster sandwiches most definitely.
Used to be great. Fallen off a bit. Coffee has always not been the best bit food and service made up for it.Food’s still good, but service isn’t what is used to be. Waitress might have been there too long or are just over worked (not all, just a couple of them) and are a bit narky and openly talking badly about customers. Still good, but has lost the friendliness it used to have. Based on a couple of experiences.
..Blueberry buttermilk pancakes served with palm sugar butter & syrup are the best, literally the best pancakes, I’ve EVER eaten..It doesn’t come with icecream which should be illegal, although you can always just ask for a scoop, or two on the side
Cafe or funeral home? This is where service comes to rest and attitude awakens like a scene from resident evil. I wasn’t sure if I was being served by people or the walking dead.Been here 4 times and every time it’s the same lazy service and below average food. Breakfast is rushed by staff that are easily stressed and it shows on the plate. Over cooked eggs and greasy sides that could only be forgiven if they were made by the kids on Mother’s Day I ordered the special of the day which was the grilled Cuttle Fish. They were out of the Cuttle Fish wasn’t available so they offered barramundi. What ended I ended up with was a processed deep fried meal with no apology and a salad that was soaked in dressing and yogurt? Will not be back. If I want to feel like I survived an apocalypse I can go to the RTA.
My local coffee house. Easily the best coffee in Sydney. Every time I walk in I’m greeted with a smile. Mary the barista takes the care to remember her return customers orders and has them steaming and ready within minutes. Another thing I love is the fresh made cakes, biscuits and brownies always there to tempt me for my morning drive to work 2hungryguys.com.au
Big breakfast. Tried the breakfast here after eating lunch a couple of years back – noticed the new deli but I was there first thing as usual and it wasn’t open yet. Had the usual test subject – the big breakfast. Bacon, eggs, mushroom, 2 small sausages, 2 tomato, 1 toast. Sound familiar? Not terrible, not special, service OK – decamped and moved on. Busy place with the locals – not much like this cafe in the immediate area.
