I love this HK styled cafe which offers some of the popular street foods you find in HK like curry balls and french toast! They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner all in one location which is awesome and the cafe is always packed with people every time i come here so it must have been quite popular! i mostly love their affordable lunch specials- tasty and very generous portions which i can definitely share with my partner. Overall very fast service and staff are quite lovely.
Firstly let me start my saying the staff are super attentive and polite! The deco isnt half bad either. So we had the: – duck meat with preserve veggie vermicelli fried; not ok bad, flavourful but found it to be oily towards the end.- claypot chicken rice; rather dry even with the sides of black pepper sauce.- lemongrass pork chop with steam rice; PC was tasty and tender but felt could do with more veggies; half corb of corn with 1 piece of broccoli hardly counts as balanced meal.Overall if you want to want to take date to a fancy joint in a Chinese eatery, Id suggest here. If your date has particular tastebuds, especially of the Cantonese kind; best go to a Cha Chan Teng; HK style coffee shop/cafe.
This place has recently been revamped so the interior decor has changed (from when they were still ‘Fusion Cafe’) but the menu items is pretty much the same (albeit with higher prices). I had trouble deciding on what to eat but ended up with their baked pork chop with fried rice, which was rather average for Asian food – ample cheese on top of grilled pork chop, smothered in tomato-based sauce and placed on top of rice that had been pan-fried with egg. Part of the rice was hard/dry, even with the sauce is mixed in. Lunch specials range from $13-16, which is rather expensive even with the complimentary free coffee/tea/soft drink (possible upgrade to a cold or ‘special’ drink with $0.50 to $2 surcharge). One good thing is that food is served pretty quickly after ordering (they upgraded to iPads).
Bad coffee and took 10minutes to get a spot but the food was extremely delectable the barumundi was the best and I highly recommended the lemon tea to anyone.
