The shop is down the side of this building (look for “ramen turn right” sign) and the room is kept remarkably cold. Fortunately, the hot ramen warms you up, but that might be the most positive aspect. The tonkotsu broth with black garlic really needed the garlic – take a slurp of a bit of the broth with little garlic in it and it’s quite weak and boring. The pork was a bit chewy and the egg was cold. The gyoza had a tasty filling – although heavy on the pork and light on the greens – but were undercooked and fell apart when you grabbed them with a chopstick. The price is ok and the servings large, and there are probably few alternatives down this way, but Ichiraku is well below the good places in the city.

It’s good generally. I went there more than 4 times and the quality of foods were always excellent.Staffs were kind too. The location is closed to Eastwood train station. It is hard to find parking ( but this is not their problem)

Ichiraku is a Korean run Japanese restaurant, and I know some people have a problem with this, but I really don’t mind if it tastes good. The udons warmed us up on a cold night, so was very much needed. However, the gyoza was still a little frozen which was a shame. We also ordered some sushi rolls and they came out very thick and was only 4 pieces. Not sure how I feel about the size, as it was pretty much impossible to have in one bite. Nonetheless we ordered the salmon & avocado and vegetable rolls and still enjoyed.
