Mad fo obviously has a lot of fans but based on my experience, I wont be rushing back. I felt like trying some Korean fried chicken and Mad fo had some decent reviews. I ordered the chicken with butter and garlic and a 30cm potato tornado. It took over ten minutes to be served which I didnt mind as it meant the chicken was freshly cooked. To be fair, the fried chicken was juicy and delicious, if a little under-seasoned. The butter garlic sauce though, was a but sickly and the chicken had this powder that had been shaken onto it which just tasted strange. If I was rating the chicken on its own, it would be 4+. With the sauce, it was around a 3.5. The potato tornado had been nuked. The potato was so overcooked it really was a poor dish. Id give it a 2 if I was in a generous mood. The complimentary coleslaw was a 1 but as it free, it doesnt count. Overall, I have rated Mad fo a 3.
