Came with friends on sunday night and it was an ok dining experience.We had the famed hainan chicken, the curry beef, beans with mince stir fry, lemon grass pork dry noodles and the laksa. Also got coconut rice to share.The hainan chicken was tender, boneless and delicious. Curry beef also went excellently with rice. The lemon grass pork is fragrant and the dry noodles are pretty refreshing. However the laksa and coconut rice is slightly disappointing. The laksa wasn’t rich and the broth was very bland. Could have gotten normal rice, barely tasted the coconut in rice.All in all, the food is a bit hit and miss, but the service is good. The price is very good and it’s a good place to have a sit down meal with friends and chat.
They used the same curry for the nasi lemak and the roti with curry which was quite disappointing. Furthermore, the rice in the nasi lemak was plain rice, not coconut rice. However, at such low lunch special prices, this is only expected. I also would recommend the teh tarik above the iced coffee as the iced coffee is not very pleasant
