One of the few cafes which opens early in eastwood located on the doorstep of eastwood city centre plaza. It doesnt need to be more than it is, an old school cafe, as it enjoys a captive market of train commuters, nearby workers (opens early remember?), students n ME . As i was already stuffed, i only got a double macc to go. Good thing i got an extra shot as it was wee weak even as a double. Might be a good place to perch oneself as this cafe has a big outdoor area. Rating based solely on coffee.
Location of the Cafe is quite nice. Prices are pretty average and the food is well below standard. The latte tasted burnt yet was still weak. Service was just as horrendous. Was forced to purchase this as I am immobile and was not allowed an outdoor seat although there were plenty available. All in all would not recommend at all. Below average coffee and poor service.
My experience started with a skim latte ($3.50). It’s not a huge deal but it would’ve been nice if there was some simple latte art on the coffee. The top looked like an unfinished heart. It wasn’t even busy at the time I was there. The taste of the coffee leaned on the weaker side but it’s good.I ordered the bacon and scrambled eggs breakfast ($12.80) and it was very soggy. It was so soggy that the toast was soaking it up on the plate. What was worst most of all was the scrambled eggs. The texture wasn’t really scrambled, it was more on the steamed side. As if there were too much milk in it. Comparable to the eggs you get in an IKEA breakfast. Mushrooms and tomato did not have a seared, grilled flavour to it. It was simply just cooked and nothing special. Bacon was not bad though, just ruined by the sogginess.In the end, I couldn’t finish the plate because everything was soaking. Service was very good though.
Very much a case of getting what you pay for. Not to say this is bad because the prices are quite good. Normally big breakfasts any where else would be around the $20 mark, but at Rumbles it comes under $15. As does the vegetarian breakfast. Also got the iced coffee and kiwi fruit crush.I enjoyed the iced coffee but the kiwi fruit crush is not something I would get again. Was too sweet and tasted strongly of syrup to me. Both meals were hearty and filling. I particularly enjoyed the vegetarian. The big breakfast was okay too, definitely fills you up, but quality of the meat wasn’t the best.Service is so so good. Everyone is polite and hardworking which is why I gave a slightly higher rating.

Relaxing, outdoor, recommended!. A very nice outdoor cafe at the corner of the shopping area of Eastwood. Price, food, service is good. I have been to the cafe many times and it has always been at the top of the list when i think breakfast for a Saturday morning. Highly recommended!
