This is a cozy little family run restaurant that I have kept visiting for the past 5 years. Loved their sea food pancake! Generous amount of ingredients and crispy! Also the Korean blood sausage is my favourite as well. Because it is small so I would often go by myself for lunch without worrying abt being judged for being alone.
Our usual Korean restaurant closed few months ago. So took a chance and this unassuming Sea Garden Restaurant today for a pleasant surprise. The food was great with many many authentic side dishes. The service was great too. If you are for an authentic home made Korean food this is the place. The owners are a couple, Albert and Linda. Linda is the chef. Albert tells me that Linda prefers to make kimchi by herself rather than bulk buying which is easier. The appearance of the restaurant and the deco are not great. But the food and the service are great.
No pictures needed. Food is similar to what they’ve showed on their restaurant window BUT the taste is far from what I imagined. Served me right for not choosing a more Korean dish but seriously, serving half thawed salmon… Biting each cute of icy salmon isn’t pleasant. In the picture my salmon dish had chilli’s in it so I asked for no chilli. The waitress said there isn’t any in this dish. Puzzled, I left it to that. When it came out what did I scoop out? Chilli’s….. How do you not know what’s in your dishes….?!The bibbimbap on the other hand was half decent. First time dining, taking a chance in you and no thanks, I’ll just stick to my regular Korean restaurants.
During my first visit I found the food really delicious so I decided to make my second visit this morning. However I was kinda annoyed by one of the unfriendly waitress here. The way she put down my food was like throwing a tantrum to me. And never a smile was put on her face even I said thank you everytime she served food to me. I WILL NEVER COME BACK TO THIS RESTAURANT AGAIN!
Best Korean food in the area!. No joke. If ur looking for a traditional good tasting korean food, this is the place to go. its not like any other korean BBQ restaurants but durely does have other good korean foods here. 10/10 on the food and freshness!
