Situated above New Yen Yen supermarket, Shanghai Fengyuan is a new hidden gem among the crowd of Chinese restaurants in Eastwood. I came here with some relatives for a family dinner and we ordered a large range of dishes, including the classic xiao long bao and pan fried pork buns, as well as this awesome (whole) fish soup with garlic, ginger, coriander and noodles, which I highly recommend. My dad even enjoyed their Yeung Chow Fried Rice – FYI, this is very rare, as he normally finds the rice either too hard/dry or too oily. They also offer $10.80 lunch specials on weekdays.
