The lovely ladies at The Grain were very helpful and accommodating when we were trying to veganize everything. They had limited English so double checking no meat, egg, fish sauce, oyster sauce the whole shebang, was a process but all done with enthusiasm. It seems they have had previous experience We ordered the vegetarian curry puffs (yum!), which could have done with a bit more filling but still good. The pad see ew was also nice, not too salty but a tad oily. Funny thing was our veggie stir fry was noticeably smaller than other stir fries on surrounding tables. Had no idea why and it wasnt particularly welcome as we like to eat, but then at the end they had charged us less also. Strange. Still, had a solid meal so wouldnt mind going back.The Grain is a bit off the main dining area near the station where all the restaurants are, so not sure how long it would take to walk there. But if youre driving, worthwhile to check it out. Surrounded by houses so looks like a place for the locals to get their thai fix.
