I know this place is popular because of their gelato but their dessert is definitely underrated!I absolutely loved the carrot cake – it was seriously out of this world! And the eclair was so soft!Gelato was also super tasty and flavoursome.Service was good but limited seating so get in early to avoid having to stand.Up the opposite end of Enmore Road heading away from Newtown but is still walkable and there are a few bus stops along the way so it’s easy to get to.Prices are fair as the taste is definitely worth it.
They do some interesting flavours (blood orange was good) and all seemed very rich but still very smooth. Coffee was hot, rich and creamy, although maybe a little rough, and the coffee price is above average while the gelato costs the same as all the lesser places around here. Nice shop with some seating and good staff.
You can get 4 scoops with Large $9.80 and we went for Black and Blue, Ms Rosie Gray, Amore Mio, and the infamous Affogato. The gelato flavours at Cow & Moon are unique. I liked all the 4 flavours I had and will be back to try the other flavours. The gelato is very smooth and creamy. Shop gets crowded after peak dinner time but won’t take long for you to get your scoop. There aren’t seats to cater for large group, if you’re a group of 3 or 4, it should be fine. Otherwise, the best way to have ice cream is eat standing.
I was surprised that with such amazing reviews and fans that husband and I didn’t like our ice cream all that much. My wasabi and apple flavour was pleasant, but I couldn’t taste the wasabi. He didn’t like his banana caramel flavour all that much nor his toasted coconut (I kind of liked it though). I did like my white chocolate and bergamot scoop though (he didn’t). The six dollar small scoop comes in a more generous portion than you’d expect and it’s nice you can get two flavours. Still, we were hoping to have liked it more… andyquan.com
Loved the interesting flavours they offer here. The ice cream is much creamier than other places. The yoghurt is very rich and has a nice tang. The dulce de leche flavour is sweet and buttery. Not cheap but happy to indulge once in a while.
This place is the bomb. In terms of ice-cream flavours, you will hit heaven. They have really nice variety that are jam packed with flavours. My favourite being the cookies and cream (WHICH ALWAYS GETS SOLD OUT SO QUICKLYYYY) the line can also be very long if you go at a busy time/ Fri-Sat nights. Defiantly worth the wait though. Desserts are also really good, Eclairs are delicious.
