This is a beautiful place and could be good for a drink, often getting very crowded (and the emphasis on cocktails can mean very slow service). It seems straight out of Paddington, though, and a lot of the guests seemed like the sort of people who wanted to go out in trendy Newtown but not actually go to a typical Newtown bar. The food was really ordinary Chinese – scallop and prawn dumplings that seemed like they were straight out of the freezer, soggy calamari, and all massively overpriced.
This neighborhood gem is a must try. They have the best black angus beef dish. My favorite Chinese beef dish anywhere. The dumplings are good and the bbq pork buns are sweet and juicy! One of my regular Sunday evening spots.
Love how they combine western and eastern internal design together in this Queens Hotel. Dim sum are surprisingly very tasty ( since Im Cantonese, I have high dim sum standard). Must try their Black Pepper Wagyu beef and Honey BBQ Pork. They also have a long list of alcohol choices. But they dont have any coffee or Hong Kong Milk tea.
