Super regular customer( there is a large regular customer base. Good selection of banh mi (missing pickled vege but do offer beetroot in options).Offer both white brown seeded and soft or hard rolls as options (rare for shops selling banh mim). Good selection of other baked goods ie custard tarts , danish snails etc. Homemade pies are almost perfect (im fussy!). Filling and tasty. Used to be mocha drinker til i tried the vietnamese coffew. Yummy!. Prices are competitive ( Epping is generally an expensive area so bear that in mind). Service is excellent and very friendly. They even remember regular customer orders!. Overall very good value for money. 🙂
I discovered this bakery recently and have never been disappointed. It is a humble place that doesn’t scream out for you but there are always queues of people lining up for coffees and sandwich rolls. Their sandwich rolls are always fresh. They are not the authentic ones but definitely with a twist that is still very delicious. There are a lot of things I have yet to try but from the things I have tried, I highly recommend their homemade pies, cheese and bacon with onion, and the Danish pastries. The service and gentle smiles are also great!
I used to visit this bakery every mornings many, many years ago to purchase my lunch for high school. I would always order two of the bacon & cheese (?) or was it called ham & cheese bread rolls? The lady working there would offer to reheat the rolls for me, which was nice. A few days ago, i was going past Epping and decided to try one of their Vietnamese Pork and Salad rolls since i’ve never had one from them before. I was craving Vietnamese Pork Rolls at the time, so i was a bit disappointed that it didn’t taste as good as my brain imagined, but it wasn’t bad either.
A small bakery really close to the station with a tiny side section for Vietnamese pork rolls. Most rolls were $5.50+ with the exception of the salad roll at $4.50. Some places the salad roll is not necessarily vegetarian, however here it was as it just had mayo and no pate. They also give you the option of either soft or hard bread which was nice. Chilli is also optional. The salad roll was okay, not particularly outstanding, and I found it wasnt as big as other rolls I have tried. When I only saw three tiny pieces of chili go in I asked for more, to which the lady warned they were really hot. Good thing I took her advice because OMG those things are fire if you directly bite it. Salad roll also included beetroot, which was a nice addition. Same deal for the pork roll okay but not amazing. If anyone lives on the Northern line and needs to go to the North Shore, youd know the wait at Epping station can be up to 15 minutes. Its not that long but enough time to go out and get yourself a snack from the bakery while you wait hehe.
