Saturday breakfast. Good food and coffee. Staff were attentive and food was served quickly. Judging by the number of patrons, we were not the only ones who thought is was great.
This tiny little cafe is situated at the entrance to an arcade directly adjacent to the Mantra resort Ettalong. The branded coffee umbrellas stand out indicating that they’re open. Upon first taking a seat it was obvious it was table service so we waited for someone to come and greet us and hand us a menu. It took over 10 minutes for our presence to be acknowledged by staff who appeared slightly flustered or just really busy. Once we ordered, our meal arrived in reasonable time as did my coffee. Being a soy milk drinker in always critical of the coffee in served but I can say that I was pleasantly surprised. Whilst it wasnt amazing, it was certainly drinkable and so was my partner’s. I’m not really sure what the go is but everywhere around here, coffee is served in strange tall glasses. I just want my latte in a standard latte glass. That’s all. We had eggs benedict and poached eggs on toast with bacon and tomatoes. The eggs were done to perfection, couldn’t fault anything else on out plates. All in all it was a good cafe, open consistently trough the Dec/Jan holiday period but the service needs stepping up a little.
