We were staying overnight in Bateman’s Bay recently and checked out Starfish Deli. It was a Sunday so it was reasonably quiet, we sat outside and had a lovely view of the water. The highlight here was definitely the mussels, super fresh and delicious!
Star fish deli was perhaps the highest rated Restaurent in Batemans Bay; the service was friendly and we ordered for drinks, Sea food platter and Risotto. However the food was really average for a name which was synonymous for being the best sea food place in Batemans.The food was pretty basic as any other sea food joint plus the drinks were pathetic.It could have been my bad day as well in terms of quality of the food but I did not see anything which would set this place apart from any other normal seafood eatery.
Pretty average food &/or small servings for a higher than average price. We ordered the prawn & chorizo linguine which was ok, the pulled pork burger which was not great (dry meat and bun, small), the grilled swordfish which tasted nice but portion was tiny and had literally 10 chips come with it and the greek salad was not appealing at all (did not taste or look fresh). Service is decent
Great service, nice food with one vegetarian option on main menu (mushroom risotto). Service was quick but it wasn’t very busy. Waitress was very kind and helpful, I forgot to give a tip!! I’m so sorry, thank you for a nice dinner guys.
Wouldn’t recommend, asked a question to a waitress and had the manager come out and treat us like sacks of spuds. Can’t understand how this place keeps its head above water when the bosses seem to have no idea how to deliver quality service, I’m rather disappointed in how this restaurant has handled itself.
