Unfortunately this once charming country style cafe has been taken over and rebranded as a quasi hipster / retro diner. The bonus is better coffee and more (somewhat) reasonably priced food. The breakfast is often undercooked and the kitchen seems to be frantic. The diverse selection of muffins is missed, however the staff are now more friendly and approachable. One of the better places you’ll find on the south coast, just remember to bring a well stocked wallet.
I reckon I was at the wrong place based on two reviews previous .. This is a quaint, rustic cafe with a gorgeous seaside ambience .. .. Melbourne quality espresso , simple well done cafe food , unreal cake. Dine here and you will enhance your mossy point experience.
Love it. I regularly stay at a nearby beach and the Muffin Shop has become a favourite place to visit and a valuable local gathering place. They do a good mocha, great muffins and the art gallery next door is worth a look.
I tried to visit this place twice and both times was let down by bad service and mediocre food options. I will not be returning.
