Avoid at all Costs. The management just doesn’t care at this well located restaurant. Food is overpriced and limited in quality, quantity and range.Standards have dropped over the years but nobody seems to care. All the independent reviews can’t be wrong.
The setting is nice and the location is great as a stop off if you are traveling north from Sydney. However, the menu is trying to reach a little too high for the market that it sits in. Mains are expensive and the quality is average. It would be so much better if they offered a mid priced cafe style menu.
We have been going to Port Macquarie for years. Last year we sat on the balcony and had a beautiful cheese and antipasto plate. This year we came back with a group of 7, hoping for a similar experience. We were disappointed. The servIce was awful. The food was ordinary and they told us they has run out of sparkling wine!!!! This was at a winery! Apparently the restaurant and winery are separate and because they didn’t order enough sparkling they couldn’t get any for before the start of the week. I did offer to walk 5m to the cellar door to get the wine and bring it back to pay the difference to them. Not allowed!!! I couldn’t believe it. No wine at the winery. Stupid. I would be so embarrassed if I owned that restaurant
