popped in for a quick bite to eat and a nice glass of vino. nothing on the pizza menu was grabbing our attention so we went for the two specials to share. these were a Japanese style calamari and Spanish style butter prawns. had the kumara chips too which were interesting, very thinly sliced and fried. the two fish dishes were nice, the chips were probably the most interesting part. we washed all this down with a local shiraz blend which was very tasty. nice place too, lots of character compared to your typical wine bar.all in all, would definitely recommend to a friend.
One of Mudgee’s oldest bars, Roth’s Wine Bar is a fun and welcoming establishment with a buzzing atmosphere and delicious food. With their quality food being locally sourced matched with their live entertainment every Friday and Saturday night, this favourite watering hole for locals, winemakers and visitors alike is a must-see when visiting Mudgee.
Great atmosphere and amazing pork belly
The food is great (bring back the pizza!). But the wines are the star! Locals drink twisted Williams which are fantastic.
Good Wine, food and music. If you like to appreciate various local wines and accompany them with some good food and live music then this is the place in Mudgee for you. It’s only open a few nights a week, but as far as I can remember it is open Friday and Saturday nights (I last went in 2012). The food menu is limited but the steaks were nice. Wine is good as could be expected and live entertainment was good the nights that I went. Definitely check it out if you are sick of the quantity over quality that you get in many of the local pubs around Mudgee.
