Wow the minute you walk in. The staff are amazing. Beautiful decorated. I was hoping to try snails but not on the menu. But the meals were delicious the meat just melted in your mouth. The dessert was amazing. Only let down was the cappuccino not the best I had. A very enjoyable evening
It looks pretty and servers were attentive but the portions were teeny tiny and pricy. I guess that’s fine dining but i wouldn’t go back. If fine dining is your thing the food did taste good and i can’t fault the restaurant, just not for me.
Montagne’ in Fairfield RSL,WOW! If you never been to Fairfield RSL it’s really nice inside! They even have a Gucci store,that’s saying something! I digress,we went with another couple and one of them just happens to be French! So we were in safe hands as im a rookie at this type of cuisine. They had been here twice and loved it so expectations were high but they were also met! Chicken liver pate,everywhere I’ve had it I loved it,and this is no exception. The cherry jam just makes it that much better Coquilles st Jacques, scallops,very nice also, pleasantly suprised Coq au vin, chicken pieces was not actually in pieces but the meat just slid off the bone like a soft lamb shank,love the red wine sauce with it,it just boosted the taste to another level My wife had duck a l’orange, I had a bite and liked it also Dessert was Devine! The Apple tarte tatin had this nice butter scotch sauce with it,everyone had a taste and everyone liked it. Service was that of a high class restaurant The ambience of that of a high class restaurant Prices are expensive but that’s what you expect with French food!
Service was spectacular. I ordered extra mash and it was to die for. The atmosphere was very pleasant and I would come again if I had the money lol! Have not tried the desserts but loved the duck Le’orange I tried. Duck falls off the bone. No mess.
Tried Montagne for dinner and it was so lovely and unexpected considering it’s RSL location. The ambience and decor were perfect and the waitstaff were very friendly and attentive . They checked in on us regularly and asked for feedback on our experience without intruding too much on our night. I ordered the buttery steak which came with fries, and vegetables. It was so tender and juicy.We ordered dessert off the menu instead of the dessert cart, going for the cheese souffl and apple tarte tartan. Both were delicious but we preferred the souffl .
Loved this French restaurant inside of Fairfield RSL. We came on a weekend where it was quite busy but that didn’t hinder the service at all. I had the steak which was cooked to perfection. I love my steak medium rare, closer to the rare side. So when the steak was not over cook and melting in my mouth I was satisfied. Every other dish that came out looked amazing as we enjoyed our meals very much.
Main reason for low score is the atmosphere – they just need way more ppl in that restaurant. The steak my husband had was amazing but other dishes lacked a little seasoning. Also the tarte Te tarn was also really good!
