I ordered some of the italian cookies and they tasted authentic but they were on the sweet side. It was pretty busy though. I might try a cake next time.
My favourite place to have cannolis as well as other fantastic desserts. As well as these they offer a tasty and wonderful looking selection of pastries, cakes, and biscuits as well as some savoury items. I have been a regular here for a long time and haven’t visited for a while and decided my fill of their cakes. Decided to eat in as well as get some to take away too as you can never have enough of their delicious goodies.Pay and order at the counter and they will serve you your cakes on plates and bring out any hot beverages you have ordered after giving you a number. They accept credit cards with a minimum of $20 spend and a 2% surcharge. To eat in we had a Mocha and a Latte to drink. Coffees were nice and hit the spot. For our sweet treats we had Zuccherati (custard filled doughnuts) which were plump and fluffy filled with their delicious custard, Hazelnut Puff which had a nice choux pastry filled with the same yummy custard and topped with chocolate and hazelnuts and the star Cannoli Siciliani (Custard) which has a wonderful crispy outer shell and that great custard they use in many of their desserts. In their pink cake box to takeaway we have another Cannoli Siciliani (Custard), Cannoli Siciliani (Chocolate), Tiramisu Cup (With Coffee Liquor), Crema Puff (custard puff), and Strawberry Tart. Again all the treats are wonderfully indulgent and delicious.I am sure to keep coming back again…and again!
Great place to go for a coffee and a pastry. We frequent this place, excellent service, nice coffee and a delicious array of sweet pastries to accommodate my sweet tooth. So anyone whose wanting some comfort food, or a delicious cake for the whole family, check it out 🙂
Absolutely amazing sfogliatelle! Definitely be best I have had in Sydney! So soft and crunchy with a very tasty, candied filling. The biscotti here are also spot on and also quite reasonably priced.
I must admit this was a bit disappointing. The Baba was not fluffy enough and the syrup had an unpleasant bitter aftertaste. The ricotta cannoli case was crisp but a little too cardboard like. The coffee was too bitter. However the run biscuit was beautiful but the star of the show was the Lobster Tail! This had amazingly light and flaky pastry and beautiful fillings. I need more of these. Overall it was ok but apart from the Lobster Tail, not great. I rate Papas as superior.
Came here for the sfogliatelle – an Italian pastry made by rolling out layers and layers of dough until paper thin. The dough is shaped into a cone, baked and filled. The result is a super crispy shell encasing a soft orange scented ricotta cream. This heavenly treat is worth the calories and a visit to Pasticceria Tamborrino.
After trying gelato a nearby, we stopped here to takeaway some of their pastries. As it was late in the afternoon, they didn’t have much on display but their cakes in the fridge looked amazing! We took away their lobster tail, apple crumble cake and mini Nutella lobster tails. My husband loved their Nutella lobster tails but wished they had a big version of them and the apple crumble wasn’t bad but I personally liked their lobster tails! While we wouldn’t come all the here for pastries and cakes, if I’m in the area, I’ll definitely come back for more lobster tails!
