Disclaimer: Thanks to The Honest Chicken for the invite Located in Belrose shopping centre,This place offers free range chicken with no added antibiotics or chemicals or hormones The turnover from farm to shop is quick so freshness is always there They don’t only sell roast chicken but do offer burgers (chicken and beef and even a vege and pork burger) and plenty of fresh salads Tried the chicken and I liked how it was tender and not dry in the middle like a lot of other placesWhat really impressed me was the STUFFING (big fan of stuffing and this had a lemon taste to it,a nice touch) and the COLESLAW (this may sound strange but I haven’t had this good of a coleslaw in a long time. Usually I get Coleslaw which is too overwhelming with dressing or the dressing is not mixed in throughout the whole salad or it tastes old. This place doesn’t have these issues) I bought myself there smokey sauce which does live up to its name. I liked it Better than your run of the mill chicken shop in so many ways If I’m up that way again I’m intrigued by the Banh Mi Chicken Roll……
Your neighbourhood chook shop located in the newly built glenrose shopping centre at davidson offers you more than just roast chicken. With more than 10 salads (see pic album) to choose from to accompany your meal, you are sure to leave here feeling satisfied and healthy . Notable mentions: crunchy coleslaw (not overdressed) to accompany your roast chicken, crispy crackling roast pork with gravy n roast potato and lemon grass chicken salad. Chickens here are little more exxy than woolies a few steps away. But then you dont get ‘farm to shop’ chooks in 2 days like these guys do.
