I came here for a work lunch and had a 3 course meal – calamari for entre, salmon for main and cherry cheesecake for dessert. The calamari and salmon were delicious. Calamari cooked very well and salmon had a crispy skin and tasty sauce. Unfortunately, the cheesecake was a let down. Not enough flavour and more coconut than cherry. The service was very good and fast, considering we had 15 people.
It’s not my problem. Had the Cudo deal as well Seafood platter was nice but not worth more then the Cudo voucher probably $60.00 at most.Voucher described fish fillets if you call a 3X3 cm cube of salmon a fish fillet well you’ll be very happy. Chips scattered all around the platter to fill up where the seafood should be. Ordered chicken schnitzel for kids and was informed it was fresh but it was really IQF frozen breaded budget thigh schnitzel. The kids did not enjoy and ate none of it , when I queried the restaurant manager are you sure the chicken was fresh, I was told Yes it is fresh after looking him in the eye I asked him again he said ok it’s frozen we have been using this product for 5 years. I said what am I going to do about the five meals we ordered that the kids did not eat he replied not my problem, lol are you serios. He then discounted the bill by $25.00. On top if that the table was not cleared once throughout our meal.Do your self a favour rule 101 go to a venue that looks after it’s customers we are not fools all we want is a pleasant meal and good old fashioned hospititable service. AQUARIUS YOUR ON NOTICE!!!
$99 Cudo Voucher. First off, upon booking a week prior we were told that we can only dine as a couple, and that the voucher did not allow to dine with children. Explaining that we understood the conditions of the voucher, and that we were happy to pay for the children’s meal, the person the phone had to verify this with the manager. It was finally agreed. We booked for a Sunday lunch.Arriving at the restaurant, it seemed like the customer service was not there. We were taken to our reserved table, and given the a la carte menu. We explained that we were there on a cudo voucher, which we then presented. For the children, we ordered the chicken schnitzel, which we asked ans the waitress confirmed it was fresh Schnitzel, not frozen. When the meals came out, the children did not touch the chicken Schnitzel. It was processed, not fresh. The seafood platter was fresh and acceptable, but deffinately not worth more than the voucher value. When asked to talk to the manager regarding the chicken Schnitzel, he was rude and abrupt. He was lying straight to our face that it was freshly made, but changed his story when a friend pointed out that he is a chef and can guarantee that it was frozen and processed. He was reluctant to discount the bill even though the food was not eaten, and we were lied too.Save your money, and eat at another seafood restaurant.Worst and embarrassing experience.
$77 groupon voucher. This voucher was definitely worth it. Started of with entrees of mussels and fried calamari which were delicious . The sauce for the mussels were Devine and the calamari was soo soft. This was followed by the bbq seafood plate each. There was octopus , squid, prawns , scallops and fish. Everything was soo tender , full of flavour and most importantly all fresh seafood ! Cooked to perfection and couldn’t be happier . This was accompanied by a bottle of wine. Service was friendly, but the downside as a previous review mentioned was the decor. Inside looked to squashy, a little stuffy and full. It was a hot day so we sat outside. There were cobwebs on the planter boxes near us, and a large long table of about 15 kids from the adjacent thai restaurant. Also we got Bitten by mossies . In Addition inside the aquarias restaurant there were kids running around, Opening and closing the large glass doors. I understand it is a kid friendly restaurant, but kids running around in a fine dining restaurant certainly brings the restaurant down and you don’t get that full fine dining experience. While there was piano music, there were no candle on a Saturday night? Food is 10/10 and I will definitely home back. Atmosphere and ambience is lacking and I give it 2/10.

The best calamari we have ever eaten. Two of us had lunch there today. Firstly let me say the negative – the decor is bland and stark – that is the ONLY negative. We both had calamari as an entre followed by garlic butter whole lobster for mains.Like the title says we have NEVER had calamari that was SO tender!!! You didn’t need a knife, you could cut it with your fork. The lobster was also nice but we has been spoilt by the 10 from 10 calamari and could only rate the lobster a very creditable 8 from 10. Service was superb and they got a good tip because of that. Recommended.
Food was ok. I had the bugs and for a delicate meat the sauce was way too strong, but very delicious. They have the flavours but just seem to.lack that certain something in the dishes coming together. Given the fact that there are NO other resteraunt in the area that cater for that level above market the prices are too high except that the demand is so great I see it is a fair price considering the resteraunt was packed. Service was terrible but extremely nice people. Again it has potential if only they gave a bit if training to staff to get them above Cafe type waitressing, to a more traditional al a carte style that essentially your paying for and expect. So if your looking for an upmarket type place in the area you have no choice really but to go here just be prepared to giggle at the fact that Bankstown just doesn’t have the competition to push resteraunt like this to excel. So potential but just doesn’t cut.it at the.moment and why should they bother when all us mugs.line up because we can’t be bothered travelling further for a proper resteraunt.
