Nowhere near as crowded as it was years ago which makes for a lot more relaxed atmosphere. The food is as good a quality and tasty as it’s ever been. This is not your usual Thai cuisine with more of the stir fry dishes than the creamy curries. Aspects the proprietors need to attend to 1) the tables need varnish or paper covers because they are sticky and tacky 2) missing menu items (fish cakes aren’t on the shop menu) 3) menu descriptions ( the special lamb is 3 cutlets fried in honey and fish/soy) – no mention of this in the menu 4) service needs to be a bit more attentive – quiet as it is, the waitress was deep in conversation with diners at the far end of the restaurant, ignoring us wanting to order food and drink. Attention to detail is as important as food quality and price and this can kill a restaurant. All up, 3 entrees, 3 mains and 3 beers = $105 which is pretty reasonable for prawn, duck and lamb mains. It would be a pity to see this place disappear form the Gladesville dining scene.
A nice casual atmosphere with reasonably priced food. The service was good, if you are in the area stop in you won’t be disappointed. I recommend the pineapple fried rice.
Worst Thai restaurant I’ve ever been to. 3rd time being disappointed, waited an hour for food. With no apology. Previously waited 3 hrs for home delivery. Will never be coming back
Friday night takeout ft Iyara Thai. Entres were great and my main dish, the thai beef salad, was good and incredibly filling (surprising for a salad) I was worried the beef would be overcooked and tough, however as soon as I tucked into my meal I found it to be cooked perfectly. The dessert of the day was a bit of a miss but after two entres and a main I was happy with just about any light dessert. Housemate and I agree that this place is a winner
Had their food twice in the space of a few days. It was above average for Thai. Prices were good and they serve the take away in a cute brown paper bag. Will return.
Solid thai. Went 2 weekends in a row… one being valentines night and the next week to make sure the previous week wasnt all hype of the night…. I was impressed on both occasions…if you want 2 courses of a wide range of thai, fresh tasting, fast and friendly service for 2 under $80 you cant go wrong…i will be back..
Have had dinner there a few times, never disappoints. Not your ‘Average’ neighbourhood Thai joint. Pleasant staff, clean and well appointed kitchen and reasonable prices for the quality. We had 2 entrees and 2 mains (byo wine) $76. Happy to recommend it.
