For a vegetarian, it’s difficult to find choices in a pub beyond a plate of hot chips or potato wedges. The AB Hotel have an amazing salt & pepper tofu dish. They also have a couple of Asian dishes, which can become vegetarian on request. I like coming here, just for the tofu dish, not much more can be said about this place as it’s a normal everyday pub.

worst pub exerience of my life, over priced food and drinks. A group of us went there yo have a birthday celebration for a friend and were made to feel very unwelcome. It seems like they are more interested in people gambeling than having a good time

This use to be one of my local places until I moved out of the area. Surprisingly decent food for a pub and atmosphere is very relaxed and welcoming. goodtasteguide.blogspot.com

Came here after traipsing up and down Glebe Point Road and tried some of their accolade-winning dishes, including the laksa. Cost was pretty high for pub grub but we were both pleasantly surprised but largely shocked by how large the dishes, particularly the laksa, were. Quality was reasonable all across the board. There was a large variety of alcohol, the prices for which seemed okay for a pub, but we had none of it.Service was fairly good, with friendly staff and quick order-to-service time. However, the same cannot be said of the ambience; the hotel was mostly empty but for some local regulars and the decor was shabby.

Came here for the Korean Fried chicken from Chimek upstairs. Its just midwings and drumettes battered and deep fried but with a variety of sauces. The Guinness flavour and OMG flavour are the top two.

Good ole AB hotel! Great spot for catch ups and Sunday sessions! Located on the main strip you could prob start this as a pub crawl to check out the other pubs in the area and then come back to sample some good restaurants for dinner. Reasonable prices and friendly staff. Last year they had a Sunday paella special. Hopefully, they bring it back this summer!

Whatever happened to this place? It used to be busy on a Saturday with a good atmosphere, now it’s practically empty. Could do with a bit of TLC, for example most of the fake leather on the chairs downstairs has worn off and not been replaced so they’re all patchy. Still a good selection of beers though.
