A personal favourite. Food is consistently amazing and the atmosphere is lovely. The haloumi ravioli is a must have – all the elements are well-balanced and the portions are perfect.
The best place within this area to eat. The personnel are friendly, the place is very relaxing. I love the food and the atmosphere of the restaurant. Used Liven App and got $50 back. Would recommend this place
Great food that came quick. Generous serves. Friendly service. Between 4 we ordered the charred octopus, pork belly, slow roasted lamb, beef moussaka and sides of red cabbage and roast cauliflower ($156 and we were all full). Octopus was perfectly cooked with nice char flavour. Overall a refreshing simple flavoured dish to start the night. If I had to be picky the sweet potato chips were on soggy side but still enjoyable and added sweetness to dish. Pork and lamb were perfectly cooked. So tender, soft, juicy. The chickpeas in lamb gave it a nice crunch and added texture. Got a lot more meat in lamb dish so better value for money and filling if that’s a consideration. The ricotta in moussaka was beautiful. The beef was probably the least impressive meat out of all the dishes but cooked with ricotta, it felt like the best overall meat dish. Sides were enjoyable. Love tahini cauliflower combination. Red cabbage was refreshing to have with so much meat.
Really nice restaurant located on Glebe Point Road. We visited here for lunch and they were really quiet (we were the only ones here for a while but was not concerned as many good reviews for this place). The lone waiter here was extremely friendly and hospitable. He was flexible in getting some of the meals delivered quicker as couple of the party had to leave early and also slow down towards dessert as we were slightly full. He made sure we were looked after and recommended trying the Banquet Menu (mezze, three mains, red cabbage, potatoes, dessert) for $45 which is pretty good value. The mezze, sides, and dessert are set but you have a choice of the mains to share. The mezze was a nice way to start with nice warm pita bread and dips. We went with Charred Octopus, Slow Roasted Lamb, and the waiter’s recommendation of Haloumi Ravioli. The octopus was lovely and came with sweet potato chips which was delicious and small black lentils. The lamb was melt in the mouth. The accompanying chickpeas gave it a lovely crunch. The ravioli was absolutely wonderful. Plump home made pillows filled with haloumi. It was a dish we were glad to have tried and thank the waiter for his recommendation. Potatoes were also great too. Crunchy and flavoursome. Finished off with some small pieces of chocolate cake, baklava, and ice cream. Wasn’t too heavy and great way to finish. Definitely give this place a try if you’re in the area.
Best hidden gem discovery to date!Nestled amongst many restaurants on Glebe pt Rd, this dining venue is a little incognito from the street. Discovered this place when talking a leisure scroll. What caught my attention was the ambience of the restaurant… the dark grey and white wall combination, with a feature tile wall paneling, soft amber lighting and a combination of light and dark table top that complimented the running theme of this restaurant. So, found an excuse to give this restaurant a palate test run. My partner just got a new job and it was time to celebrate! Tried to book Saturday evening, and it was completely booked out! You think to yourself… it must be a really good place of it has sold all of its tables! So opted to book for lunch instead and perhaps this was the best decision ever! For our first half of dining, we thought we were participating in some private dining experience. as the place was empty, and the restaurant was nice and quiet. Totally bliss. That didn’t last too long before other dining patrons would enter this delightful culinary haven. Was good while it lasted…We decided to take the plunge and go with the 5 course banquet which included: mezze plate, 3 mains (of your choice), red cabbage salad, and dessert for $45. That is such good value for money! The mains we ordered were: halumi ravioli, pan fried prawns, and slow roasted lamb (note: the lamb was absolutely tender, and the meat just fell off). For our dessert, we chose baklava that came with black berries, vanilla ice cream and lemon sorbet. We were filled to the brim!Their wine list is not extensive but well chosen selections. I ordered a glass of their French ros which was smooth and not too acidic. Was extremely friendly to the taste bud. Could have drank a whole bottle, but seeing that is lunch time and relatively early, I don’t think that it was such a good idea. My partner ordered Ramipere sauvignon blanc Marlborough NZ. They are a sure bet for a tasty drop.Having been on this culinary adventure for some time now, it’s always so pleasant when the quality meets the price expectations. Thoroughly enjoyed every moment at this venue. The restaurateur was very hospitable, made suggestions and recommendations of dishes to order. Food was well presented and came out in good timing. The over all experience was very enjoyable, and their attention to detail was spotless!Next time it will be for dinner, testing out other mains on the menu.Anyhow…This place really tempted the palate, and persued the wallet to open up and part ways with some hard funds… it was well worth it.
