Visited the place with a Sri Lankan colleague. This was my first exposure to authentic Sri Lankan food and it was really good.Ordered the string hoppers with chickpeas curry and chicken kottu for mains. The wattalapam in dessert was the best.Going back for the dessert again soon!!

This place located on the lower end of Glebe Point Road. I was intrigued by this place as it was always packed.Booking on a Saturday night is a must, otherwise you won’t get a seat.Came on a Saturday evening. It was full as usual and seating rather cramped. There isn’t much ambiance but you go there for the food. What we ordered that nightThe food: for 2- string hoppers- vegetable dosai- Roti murtabak (chicken)- Mixed Fruit SaruwathI don’t know, I felt like this place diluted the taste and spiciness. I really wanted to experience the real Sri Lankan food but got a Glebe whitewash version, which was a tad disappointing. Maybe you’d need to drive out to their Toongabbie branch and make the comparison. Who knows?!

This was the second place we visited as part of The Glebe Tasting Treks. This was to be the main course of our progressive dinner. The aromas that greeted us entry were infectious and set us up for a lovely meal. Staff were pleasant and very accommodating. They dont serve alcohol here however welcome to BYO. We were all brought some refreshing Mango Lassi to begin. These were definitely needed as spice levels were higher than Im usually accustomed to. The dairy in it has a nice cooling effect. We were all brought a plate of different hoppers including an egg one as well as some noodle ones and bread. We were surprised at the generosity of this as thought wed be sharing a plate each. These were the perfect vessels to mop up the shared curries including a chicken one as well as a vegetarian one. Lots of other condiments accompanied these and made for a filling meal. Might be slightly cramped inside and a bit loud once everyone started chatting but definitely a must try if in the area.
