I’ve had some fun times here in the past but this is the standard bland Sydney Mexican. I got a decent meal out of the enchiladas but the beef was tough and showed the vinegar more than any other flavour. The dips were particularly disappointing, strange flavours especially in the queso and guacamole. There’s lots of liquor and the famous selection of chilli sauces but that doesn’t add much flavour. Not very good considering the high prices.
the main disappointment from this place was the fact that they overcharged us by way too much. it was literally $6 for adding beans to the nachos (when nachos should normally come with beans anyway) and it was served in a bowl on the side so you had to add it in yourself. the nachos also had too many jalapenos and not enough corn chips. they still tasted pretty good though. it was disappointing that we were also charged $6 for s kids drink, when on the menu it said it was much cheaper, it was very misleading.the tacos however were amazing, and the sauces and condiments used on them were actually so tasty. i would not come back here though.
Saw the past reviews here which werent exactly great but decided to give it a chance with a Dimmi booking that gave us a discount off the food bill. Was craving for some tacos so of course that was what I went for as soon as I saw the menu.I ordered the chicken taco, the pork belly and the brocollini taco. Was rather disappointed with the chicken taco and the pork belly as they were overcooked, quite dry and didnt have enough sauce or seasoning for the amount of toppings that was on it. The brocollini on the other hand surprised me with good flavours and I enjoyed it the most.My partner ordered the chimichangas which was a good homey soulfood-like dish. The sangria was alright, didnt impress us. Kinda just tasted like juice. Not sure if wed come back here again :(Highlight of the evening was the Wall Of Pain that had a plethora of hot sauces! We killed our tongues with the Widow, one drop of that lingered for ages! It was good fun trying out the different hot sauces.
