Food is appalling, quantity is small and takes forever to come out. Staff are unfriendly and slow to respond. Way too expensive for the low quality. Food looks completely different than pictures be warned. Wont come again.
Oh Mannnn… Japanese eat all you can for $29 already had me sold – and trust, it’s well well well worth the price. I went with three friends and we LITERALLY ordered every item on that menu. The crunch rolls are sinfully delicious, basically avocado and chicken Katsu deep fried in cornflakes and layered with sweet mustard sauce. Another mention was the yakitori – simple karaage on a stick with sweet yakitori sauce. Get the sashimi boat and the volcano if you can – don’t leave without it! Now while the food here was definitely far from traditional Japanese, and there seemed to be avocados on everything (I mean.. we’re in Glebe.) it was definitely so enjoyable to adventure into everything and have a great time. CONS: the cafe is very small though. Painfully small actually, and almost unassuming. Furthermore it gets busy easily, so your orders are not given together but in order they are prepared first. We’d have to wait about 8 minutes between each order, depending.
