Great concept- breathing new life into second-hand books and enjoying a coffee while reading. Food, drinks and vegan food menus were extensive and not too expensive. Back to that- a whole vegan menu? Vegans everywhere would rejoice at that! Service is good, ambience wonderful, as the vibe is grungy, second-hand, natural and colourful all at once. Food is above average, but not outstanding. Been there 3 times and looking forward to going back again.

A great cafe hidden at the back of a cute bookstore on Glebe Point Road. The atmosphere of the cafe is so inviting, and feels very cosy. They have a great menu that caters for all dietary requirements. Sappho also transforms into a tapas bar at nighttime & hosts various performances throughout the year. I highly recommend for those visiting Glebe but wanting to escape the business of the area.
We sat in the courtyard which had plenty of warm sunlight and had a greay friendly vibe. There’s plenty of chairs and it wasn’t difficult to get a table. Our iced chai was extremely milky and wasn’t strong enough. I had the lamb kofta with quinia salad – the greens were very fresh although the kofta was presented in a rather offputting shape the lamb was quite salty and the salad was missing dressing; some yoghurt to tie the elements together would have been nice. vistillhungry.blogspot.com
