As soon as I arrived I felt the unfriendly vibe of the staff and the unpleasant energy of them. Not sure why the staff were so rude and unhelpful. Maybe they were just having a bad day. Who knows?! The food was ok but nothing amazing. I wouldn’t rush back.

Rude and some!. The cafe is located in one of the quieter streets in Glebe and seems like a lovely spot from the outside. The decor is simple and not pretentious. The food is over-priced, not terrible and the coffee is excellent. The biggest downer was the person who was bringing out the food, I’m guessing the Chef/Owner (dude in his late 40s, early 50s). He was just plain rude and full of himself. He had the attitude and appearance of someone getting off some serious street drugs.Everyone else on staff seemed nice. I can think of at least a dozen other places in Glebe that serve a better brunch than this cafe, minus the attitude and lack of customer service. Shame the coffee is so good. Oh well, still not worth encountering the ill-mannered Chef/Owner.I would never go back again and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone I know.
ONE OF MY FAVOURITES. I love Digikaf! Once every week or so my husband and I have breakfast at digikaf and we are always satisfied. It is a cool cafe, but not too cool to give you real portions and enough food to make you feel full.I love! Would highly recommend.
Upfront is stylish and comfortable although an automatic door closer would be worth considering. Coffee was up there too. However, note to chef, ‘big breakfast’ does not just mean ‘big bread’. Second note to chef, when you aggressively criticize your staff at the counter people notice and you lose points. Third note to chef, when you are rude and aggressive to your kitchen staff, people in the bathroom can hear you and you lose points. Last note to chef, when you are aggressive to customers you lose points. Chef should focus on making the bacon less greasy and spread some love….this will always win bonus points.
I went there on the Public Holiday Monday a few weeks ago. It was the only place open on the day. They charged a crazy 20% surcharge. Usually I wouldn’t mind if I was getting what I paid for. The menu looked amazing on paper, even if it was already way too expensive. When it was served I was disappointed by the presentation of the food. It looked like something you would get at a lower end cafe, which is fine, but for the price it was not worth it. The service was very average; staff didn’t want to be there and the water wasn’t being topped up at all. Coffee was fairly cold. I live in the area but I will definitely not go back there!
