Great place and ambiance. Loved the cottage feel of the place. The Swiss Veal Schnitzel was a treat. Paired with a great beer and we’ve got a winning combo.

What a way to cool down then to go to Tommy’s and have a cold beer and some food to eat, whilst sitting in the cool. As soon as you walk through the door, this place was buzzing with diners. The wait staff gets you at the door and tells you to sit anywhere you want, came with the menu but took quite sometime for them to get back to collect your order. Anyhow…When they finally took our order, we ordered a beer each to stay off with. The Golden Peasant was quite pleasant to drink, given that I seldom drink beer. My friend ordered the Czech cut, a dark beer that was surprisingly smooth in taste and a hint of sweetness. We ordered one pretzel to share, that came out nice and warm with a small block of butter and a sausage platter. This was enough for two as it was stinking hot, and we didn’t have a huge appetite. Went down nicely with the beers we ordered. Anyhow… this month the have their limited Communist menu that I was interested in trying. The irony was… we never even bothered ordered from the specials menu after all that! Maybe this is an excuse for us to go back and try other stuff on their menu. If you come here, say in a group of four, their metre long sausage looked like it was ordering. Maybe it could even feed two of the two parties were extra hungry!

One of the best beer gardens in Sydney. Great European Beers / Food and Friendly Staff. Always feel welcome here. A great casual place to unwind and have a few beers.

Great beer and European food! Nowhere else to do get the authentic experience from a bar/restaurant in Sydney as most (if not all ) these types of restaurants have disappeared. For the traditional dishes I would have a small breakfast/lunch as you won’t be hungry when you leave. The beer, best in Sydney.Tommy’s is great. If you have time, have a chat with Tommy. You won’t regret it.

I visited Tommys last night and had a great night. Beautiful food, great selection of Czech beers. The service was fantastic and very friendly. The decor was very European and the massive beer garden would be a great idea on hot summer days to relax and enjoy a refreshing beer. I would not hesitate to recommend Tommys to anyone.

If you use Dimmi to collect points Don’t Bother! They won’t record you that you went and when u ask To fix the problem they say they will but they don’t! Only emailed them twice and called once It’s been 1-2 weeks now Food wise sizes have shrunk and prices have gone up,the wait is long but the food is still good! But after this incident I doubt I will be back

The atmosphere in the main room is quite good – the side room is a bit lacking. I ordered the Hunter Schnitzel with veal without crumbs and was quite impressed! The plate had a ‘homemade’ feeling about it and the veal was cooked to perfection. The mashed potato was delicious as was the mushroom sauce – albeit a tad bit salty. The staff were very friendly and helpful. A negative point was the fruit flies buzzing around our table. All in all it was a good experience.
