What a surprise to come to Grafton and walk across the road from the Quality Inn to be able to enjoy a yummy Japanese Teppan Yaki meal and a couple of glasses of wine (not BYO, which helped me).The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating, and as I struggled to find reviews of local restaurants, I felt compelled to do this one given I really enjoyed the experience and I’m sure other travellers and locals might appreciate my insights. I would definitely come back!
We’re a bit hesitant based on the low review score. However, as not many options are open in Grafton, we thought we’d give it a go – not disappointed. We were really happy with the atmosphere, efficient and friendly service, and the food. We ordered the 3 dish set and it came up with such a variety of sides too. The teriyaki chicken was excellent. The hot and spicy beef had more of a Korean flavour but still good. And the prawns were cooked well. Definitely the right choice of restaurants in Grafton.
I had the beef main, with a spring roll entree. They are both the first items on their parts of the menu. Everything tastes great and there’s a good range of flavours. Perfect if you’re keen to try something new. My only fault is that the beef was too salty for my taste. I thought it was small when I had it served, but I’m definitely full now. I will definitely go again and recommend.
