Wow! The goods on offer are amazing. Easy to miss as located in an alley, it is just off Waterloo Road near the IGA. This is a family run dessert and sweet store. Entering the shop you are welcomed in with delicious scents. The owners are welcoming and happily box up your orders. There should be something suitable for both the sweet tooth and ones that don’t like it too sweet. The znoud el sit (ladies arms) are freshly cooked and the taste of them are out of this world. The Nutella version of the classic knafeh brings an element of hazelnut sweetness combined with touches of rosewater and blossom water. It certainly modernises a classic. Also tried other varieties of knafeh, some topped with pistachios, some with ashta, others with the cheese filling that was definitely not as sweet. It would be hard not to leave here without taking a few goodies home for friends and family. They also have plates of biscuits and baklava on display too wrapped prettily in cellophane that would make excellent gifts. Be sure to seek out this wonderful shop that has fantastic tasting desserts made with quality ingredients.
