I used to dine here prior to the renovations, and I must commend them for a job well done. The food has significantly improved. My husband and I both had burgers – I had the soft shell crab, and he had the chicken schnitzel. Both were very yummy and helped to remind me why burgers are the latest food trend. The only problem was the iceberg lettuce made it difficult to eat, and most fell out when I was halfway through my burger. Small thing, but maybe consider a different type of lettuce. It was also lovely to see lots of families eating here. Thanks for the great night out!
A great family friendly venue inside The Acres Club, Greenacre. Spacious sitting area with casual and relaxed dining environment. When I visited this venue on Thursday night, they also had great choices of Food Trucks outside on the green. It was nice to enjoy both street food from the food trucks and awesome food from The Acres Kitchen. The Acres Kitchen has extensive variety of cuisines including several Japanese fusion dishes. Some of my favourites dishes are:Salt and pepper prawns: love the crispness on the outside and tender prawn on the inside. The chips are quite crispy and flavoursome and the garlic aioli is pretty good.Takoyaki octopus: awesome.Prawn gyoza: love it!Tempura prawn: yum.Penne chicken carbonara: creamy and delicious.Mediterranean tasting plate: definitely a crowd pleaser. In regards to the food trucks, my favourites are the truff mofo from 2 Guys Burgers, mixed plate from Smokin Grill Barbeque and waffle gelato from Gelato Brioche.
