Came here for the 1st time for lunch and will definitely come back The tapas for 2 was worth every bit and the dessertsNiceAbsolutely brilliant and good pricesWell done
Went with a group on 7 for my mums birthday and can’t wait to go back! The staff were extremely attentive, the meals were incredible value for money (we had the 2 course special for $26) which were both filling and delicious. For entree I had the salt and pepper squid, extremely generous portion and was of top quality. I had the fish for my main and asked to change the mash to vegetables which they happily arranged without question. They had a massive variety of specials although the menu has plenty to choose from. Well priced, great staff – decor could do with an update although it shouldn’t be a constituent. Looking forward to going back
We had a light dinner one night, nothing flashy but a tasty steak and salad which we enjoyed. We returned to try breakfast. I asked for well done fried eggs, not runny or orange and was rudely provided two boiled eggs after the first batch were undercooked. Won’t return
Deserves another chance Gymea?. A good sized restaurant with a mixture of booth and seats, indoor and out. A great fit out.The food was very good. We ordered salt and pepper calamari which was exceptional and pork belly which was scrumptious with green apple and berry jam.Mains we had chicken fajita and rump steak. Presentation was eye catching but a little clumsy(impractical) on timber boards. The tortilla wraps were cut into small triangles and the meat was served in a kitchen pan (way out of proportion to the amount of tortilla). My rump steak was nice and tender (however I ordered MR and got M).Dessert was a lovely good sized creme brulee and the espresso was nice also.A place like Gymea you need to befriend the locals. If any my advice to the establishment is to smarten up the service, play better music and get the place cranking. You are so close..
