Unfortunately, this is my local. Straight up, not a great pub. Its almost too big for its own boots for most of the week.Little to no atmosphere. The decor is confused, they have an old fridge and furniture just sitting in the main room!?I ordered a steak on a Tues night, didn’t appear to be over the top busy, standard amount of patrons for a pub bistro, took over 45 mins for a scotch fillet. Tasty but very small portions and not worth the wait. Their rump steak is $27!For punters, a great TAB it must be said. Little to no variety with poker machines and most appear to be muted. On a weekend can get busy, beer garden is ok, but they wont let you take food outside, given priority to smokers! Send the smokers to the carpark.Their major events, ANZAC day, Aus day, Xmas eve are all aimed towards young patrons, 18 year olds everywhere.Staff pretty friendly but all round an under achieving pub.

Great schnitzel and chips, not so great steaks that are chewy. Always hard to make a call on a steak special, it could be just the cut. Turnaround is a little slow for a bistro. I have also enjoyed the crispy salmon so I suppose this bistro is fairly reliable. Would be better if the bistro was away from the outdoor smoking area cross breeze.

Portion sizes inconsistent. I had battered fish and chips it tasted fine but was 3 tiny pieces of fish and less than a handful of chips for over $20, much less than you’d expect to get at a pub. Husband had the chicken wings special and it was so massive he couldn’t finish it.

A functional hotel bistro.. But not much more, the food is of good quality and the kitchen produces a consistent product, however for the money they charge for a majority of their menu items is offensive. $25 for a rump steak is excessive all things considered. The chef does a great job and has been there a long time, but a little more imagination from the kitchen might inspire a wider following.
