Ordered the prawn green curry and was delighted with a generous serving of prawns but the variety of vegetables were lacking. The chicken stir fry however had a wide variety of vegetables although it lacked strong flavour.
Miranda. Worst Thai food around. Pad Thai had a tomato sauce mixed in. Mixed entree just tasted like oil and pad Kee Meo was just soy sauce on noodles. Get disappointing
Take away. 1. prawns in prawn rissoles partially peeled, resulting in lots of spitting out of shells2. prawns in curry dish were not prawns but chicken3. didn’t even bother opening with the third dish$38 for a mostly inedible meal – never again
The first time I went to Mie Thai, for lunch, I had probably the best pad kee mao I had ever had. Tonight, however, I am thoroughly disappointed. I ordered takeaway of mixed entree and chicken pad kee mao – the entree was beyond ordinary, and the pad kee mao, apart from being tasteless, had NO CHICKEN in it. If the noodles were at least tasty, I would have still eaten it, but I had to throw the whole thing out. I know that restaurants get busy and service sometimes suffers, but this is inexcusable.
Mie Thai has a modern decor yet a cosy feeling. The staff are friendly and attentive. The menu is not very surprising but has interesting variety and the dishes are well presented.The food is consistently good. There’s some outdoor seating for the warmer months. It’s probably the best dining in Gymea and one of the better Thai restaurants in the Shire. Enjoy.
