Decent food. Service could do with some improvement. I’ve placed online orders with them a few times before with no problems. Placed an online order and didn’t receive a confirmation email so called them up. Was told my order was cancelled and was not given a reason why or an apology. Person attending the call just simply told me to try again and did not seem to want to take my order over the phone.

Came recently for yumcha with a group of friends, and upon entering the restaurant was pretty much empty. We had to look for some to serve us, and he almost begrudgingly handed us some menus and then was nowhere to be found again. There were no yumcha push trolleys – just a menu of about 25 items or so. We ordered a variety of dumplings which were actually extremely flavoursome, fresh, and cooked very well. The interior of the restaurant appears quite fancy with carved pillars, statues etc, however is poorly maintained as when you enter there it feels damp and dusty.Overall the food was quite good however the restaurant experience as a whole was a little disappointing.

  • Quality! It Shouldnt Be That Hard! Love A Wonderful Mouth Full Of Wholesome FOOD!

I came here because my normal Chinese I go to in Newcastle was closed till the 9th of Jan. When I walked in it was super busy I though awesome being busy is a Good sign, well I ordered aping rolls and pork soup dumping ( Shanghai dumping) they must of been packet because they where dry pastry hard, the spring rolls where over cooked, They asked if we wanted entree first we said yes which it was but our food was cooked and left waiting out the back so by the time we finished our entree one of our main came out sizzling sweet and sour pork there was nothing sizzling about it cold was more like it, then the next was satay chicken, mean while we are waiting an extra 15 mins for special fried rice so but the time it came the mains where cold, the satay was so spicy I sent it back as my 11yo niece don’t eat spicy neither did my mum, after waiting another 20 mins I asked where the Chinese broccoli was she said I’ll ask it came out two mins later with loads or sauce, over all a bad experience 🙁

Restaurant was nice, however all the dishes had just one thing that kept it from being amazing. The xiao long bao didn’t have the soup inside as the skin was all broken, the sauce on the Shanghai pork ribs was too runny and slightly bland probably from having too much water content and the fried string beans was ridiculously spicy, completely ruined the dish. I’m not blaming the restaurant as they did advertise this as one chilli on the menu, it really should be 2 or 3 chillis. Food was close to great, the chef could easily step up his/her game by paying more attention to these things.
