Good location. Service was O.K. Had a rueben that was nothing special, but filling. The fries side leaves little to the imagination, and looked like a mass produced store bought type. What peeved me off somewhat was when I asked where the restroom was at the end of my meal, to wash my hands after the rueben. I was given directions but also asked to go and pay before I visited the toilet in the back. This showed a lack of trust in customers, in the least subtle way and left me with a bad taste in my mouth.

Fantastic little restaurant with an amazingly delicious and unique menu! We’ve started going here quite a bit recently because everything is delicious and there’s just nothing else like it in Newcastle. The chefs have a fantastic, creative approach that always results in really tasty food, sometimes with combinations you’d never have expected. Essentially a Greek restaurant (but the food is quite refined and elegant), the entrees are amazing especially when approached almost like tapas (we ordered five and one main, plus two desserts), the mains are all very nice and the desserts are ridiculously good – very very tasty and well balanced, as in, not overly sweet.Highly recommended, also because the staff are lovely and the prices are very reasonable, plus it’s byo wine. The breakfast also looks amazing but I haven’t tried it yet!
My husband and I took our daughter out for our weekly Friday night dinner and we picked The Village and we are just so glad that we did. Had 5 tapas between us and a dessert with 2 extra scoops of backlava ice cream. It was fantastic and will definitely be back to try the rest of what’s on the menu. Thank you for the great service last night despite the full house.
