I was walking a couple of times around this shop, it took my attention because it has a nice design but this time I went directly to this place for some burgers. I have to say that I went without any expectation but I really liked this place. It’s in a good balance between price, quality and size. In other words you can have a big and tasty burger for 18 bucks or less. I’ve try the DOUBLE DRAGON, really good (double patty) Also they have Young Henrys!! It’s always a plus enjoy a burger with a good beer. Friendly staff and a couple of arcade games for playing after your meal. Worth try this place.

Perennial Melbourne favourite, 8 Bit, has landed in Sydney. Superbly styled from fit out to menu but for us its all about the food!!! Here we have a Double Dragon, turned into a triple because it makes the pics look better. Weve heard theyve recently changed their grill practice but being our first time we cant compare to previous offerings. What we can say is the beef was bloody good: nice crust, pink through the middle and packed full of flavour. The volume of cheese brought those classic mixed flavours whilst the pickles, mustard, ketchup and 8Bit sauce actually packed enough tang and acid to not be totally overwhelmed by the beefy mass! We could go on about how it tasted but really, all you need to do is just look at it smashing sides and shakes too, including cheese and bacon fries, loaded tots, hot dogs and super yummy peanut butter shakes, so yet another top competitor to the Sydney scene! What a time to be a alive!

One of the most hyped burgers in Sydney, well, in Melbourne actually, as it originated from there. The place was quite cozy and chill. The burgers was quite good but not really good as I expected it to be though. Although the patty was perfectly cooked in medium rare, but it kinda lacks of taste, a pinch more of salt would make it perfect though. The buns were fresh and fluffy, as well as the lettuce and tomatoes. Somehow the barbeque sauce goes well with the cheese and stuffs. Decent place for a burger! Worth a try but not really worth for coming back. Tasted many better burgers before.

Checked out 8bit at Steam Mill Lane for my farewell lunch recently. I used to see a long queue for this but the queue has now migrated to the pork roll shop opposite it. 8bit is a popular burger joint that hails from Melbourne. I had the After Burner, beef burger with chili sauce and jalapeos. A bit spicy for me but the beef patty was moist and tasty. Like the beer battered fries theengineereats.com

+3 standard food served-1 a bit pricey for something so underwhelming+1 cute branding / decor across the boardI guess it was just the frustration of being slighted slightly on every account. A bit too much sauce. Sausage and bun a bit underwhelming. While they were delicious, the serving size of chips and shake bit too small. And no real high other than the decor? But even there, the arcade machines were free to play but unresponsive.$8 strawberry cheesecake shake$5 beer batter chips$8.5 8 bit dog$12.5 burgerTotal $34There are better burger joints in Sydney.

Quite nice burger (free with Liven promotion). Good meat patty, interesting box design that helps you grip the burger. Friendly staff, and pretty convenient location

What a After burn that was!AFTER BURN2x Beef Patties (1added), Bacon (added),Tomato, red Onion, Lettuce, 2x Cheese (1 added), Chilli Sauce, Jalapeos, Mustard, Chipotle Mayo.We finally got down to 8bit in sydney and it was nice. Presentation wise its up there making it easy to get a photo unless you’re there at night then you’ll have to deal with shadows. They have a really nice venue with some arcade games in the corner where you can play off your food coma! The food cooked perfectly with the meat being nice and medium. The afterburn had a nice kick to it which was a nice change. The Hotdog was pretty good as well, loaded with toppings. Otherwise a pretty solid feed from the guys at 8Bit.__________________________
