Another popular place in Chinatown which is quite full on most evenings. I visited this place a couple of months ago for a late lunch. I ordered the dumplings noodle soup with a some extra spice. They serve complimentary tea which adds a nice touch to the cuisine. The soup was a bit cold with a lot of veggies and very few dumplings. I would have liked more dumplings as the dish is called dumplings noodle soup. The price is quite fair for the dish and would order something else from the menu to give it a second try.
Love the food here. The noodles are fresh and really delicious. I love how they are all different shapes and sizes, which shows they are definitely hand made on site. The braised eggplant, pork dumplings, beef noodle soup where all very good.Service was fast and friendly.TIP – get yourself a seat on the footpath and watch the world go by.
Look past the dodgy looking interior and the sub-par service. Come here for the amazing food at great value! They take your order and start cooking your food before you’re even seated. I got the Spicy Noodle $12.50 – this dish is NOT on the menu so show them this photo (the third one) and ask for it . Be warned though it packs a little bit of a punch with the chili oil and sichuan peppers! My friend got steamed Pork and Chive dumplings (12 pcs) $10.80. Bloody delicious and quite impressed by their generous portions. Highly recommended!! Don’t bring a first date here though!
From first sight, the shabby interior doesnt look too promising but dont let that ruin your appetite. The proportions are great for sharing and the dishes are really affordable and delicious! I highly recommend trying the hand-made noodles and the pan-fried dumplings. This restaurant is always busy and I can totally see why. Simple and yummy Chinese food that satisfies your tastebuds!
America would invade this plate but I would like to keep the noodles and chilli oil. Coming alone is not an option, serving sizes are massive so you cant choose multiple dishes to try. The restaurant definitely needed a revamp but I wasnt surprised at the condition either. Service isnt a strong point either but again, not surprised. Stir fried broad leaf noodles with pork – massive serving of noodles that was definitely more than an average male can consume. Noodles were Al dente and doused in grease but that didnt stop me from putting on the awesome chilli oil. Aside from the greasiness and serving size, it was decent overall.
