We ended up at the Civic, because we were looking for a place to watch the royal wedding with a drink or two. After trekking through half of the CBD & edges of Surry Hills, The Civic was the only place that had a TV on it. The bar staff were also pretty accommodating by turning up the volume & at one stage tried to turn on the teletext for us. Probably not a pub I normally frequent otherwise, but really appreciate their attitude.
Never come here. Im here on a Sunday night and I tried to order a cocktail and a Mocktail but the bartender said that they dont do cocktails because he is the only one in the bar and it takes too much time to make so hes not going to do it. When we ordered a mocha and we asked for more chocolate, the same bartender said we cannot add more chocolate. We are not a coffee shop. The bartender was absolutely rude and did not want to be working there. He tried to avoid customers even though he was the only bartender. Absolutely horrible customer service. One of the worst experience.

Civic Dining is the perfect combination of amazing quality Greek food with a modern and classy touch in a fantastic venue. The wine list is great, the service is fantastic. It is good to see a Greek restaurant without the tacky posters. It’s all class and worth the money
