Little I Wok tucked in between Oportos and Luneburger is place people rarely know by its name. Most people tend to go for its pre made selection of Chinese dishes however my go to three dishes (highly recommended) are off the menu. These are BBQ pork wonton noodle soup (pictured), Hainan Chicken and the Prawn laksa. The BBQ pork soup is a clear soup with the noodles freshly cooked, the wontons are perfect little nuggets of silky texture and when you bite into it the pork and chive mince erupts into your mouth like a symphony of taste (ok I heard it but it’s good). The owners before cooking ask you got your chilli tolerance. It’s got fresh barely cooked crunchy carrots, cabbage and broccoli and the silvers of BBQ pork on top is perfect to eat with these veggies. I personally believe this soup has cured many a cold for me. Price wise this soup will set you back $11 – most the dishes are cheap and for the quantity and quality highly worth it and recommended. Seating is shared in front of the shop front with other customers but I’ve never had trouble finding a spot. I’d recommend it for chilly days if you didn’t want to venture too far into Haymarket as this shop is tucked right after the central station tunnel

Got the $5 happy hour deal, rice with curry (I got the black bean with beef), the rice was pretty stale, and the curry wasn’t very fresh and didn’t taste particularly nice. Only positive is that is was a fairly decent serve
